need help 172 cup ph 2 leaking water inside

has any one ever had this before . i parked my car at work for about 1 week , there was some heavy rainduring the week. when i got back in the car the drivers floor pan carpet was soaking we and a puddle under the pedals, and under the drivers seat there was even deeper puddles, the door seal wasent wet and dident appear to be leaking.there was a rubber plug under the car not sealing properly but the car was parked so dont see how water could leak in there. the boot and rear of the car are bone dry as is the pass side.
also when i drove the car away there was water pouring out the back bumper drivers side for about 2 miles solid.
pretty worried about it as i dont want water lying in the chassis, so ive tried to dry it out as much as poss. i really cant remember but i hope it was just a door not shut right and over the week the car had been slowly filling up

hi, im not sure what the problem really is but i have the exact same thing on the passenger side of my 172 cup! i found that the seal on the top of the door and bottom of windscreen werent sealed very well so i re stuck them a couple of weeks ago. I left my car for a week while i was away and found today that theres wet patches again.

if you find anything can you pm me?
