need help hearing a strange noise on 1.2 clio

hi all

i have been hearing a wiered noise when in 1st and 2nd gear setting off, it cal only be described as sounding like an owl. i think it make the noise when i have the stearing wheel slightly turned too (when setting off).

sounds like you have an owl hiding under your bonnet. sorry only joking mate. know how it feels. evertime i hear a noise come from my car (which is all the time) i can feel my wallet draining of cash. dont have a clue what could be wrong. hope its not your engine though.

i just had the front tyres changed and both brake pads and disks about 4 months ago.

i had that i think but on an 06'reg :S seems to have disappeared now so god knows wot it was. Car will probably fall apart now ive said that

lol i hope not i love my clio, does any one know what difference it would make if i but a de-cat pipe on? and where to buy one? i have a 2002 plate, 1.2 clio. we have a mecanic in the family and he said it would make it feel like a 1.4 is this true?

lol, no, just be alot louder may give better throttle response but on such a small engine wont be rekognisable.
