Need Help Please.

im getting flickering dash lights even when not on e.g oil light, battery light, stop light, service light etc and my temp and fuel gauge goes loopy, ive had this before had the altenator checked and a new battery put in, just started happening again. it didnt start for the first few times but left it for an hour with the battery disconnected and reconnected it, it starts everything is ok but as soon as i turn it off the lights just turn back on again, my next door neighbour reckons dodgy earth somewhere but im not sure where to even start. it's stop flickering to turning completely on now after i wobbled the wires in the engine bay. lol. ive had so much trouble with this one since i got it i may go back to ford and get another puma. new battery, snapped cambelt, broken fuel pipes and now this. tell me one thing is renault really worth it?

Pumps a superb handling car and if you get a good one the problem is a 172 is a step sidways not upwards or downwards in some ways.

Sounds like a diodgy earth somehwere on the dash panel.

The starter or TDC sensor most likly to blame for that.
