Need help with home cinema reciever.

Hey, I bought this Sony home cinema system at Christmas http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000NVWCTS/?tag=cliospnet01-21

Turns out it doesn’t do full surround sound on the Xbox 360. It was suggested to buy a receiver which I have done and it arrived today its http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?archive=true&pathId=5&modelId=MODL005075

Anyway the Sony speakers have a funny plug connection and I guess I just cut these off and connect the negative and positive to the receiver, but the sub also has one of these plug connections and the receiver only has a single phono slot for the sub!!!!

Any help would be appreciated,

cut a phono lead up and join it to the SW lead?

oh ya! all the phono leads i got around the house are twin ones, mite pop out and get 1.

you could use one side of the twin ones - each RCA will have 2 wires to it - problem is they might be to thin.

found a super thick one i used to use for my sub and amp in my old clio gonna use that.

It didnt work, used one side of the rcas and nothing. Strange?

looks like im gonna sell both the dvd player and reciever and start over. any offers?
