Need help

Basically I work for UKmodified based in Berkshire.

We are a Vauxhall specialist but a mate of mine has come forward wanting his Clio converting to a 2L

Its a 53 plate 1.2 16v Billabong.

Could you guys list the engine that would be used, possible mounting kit or info, drive shafts and also how easy is the ecu looms etc.

All info appreciated!

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, just signed up to post.

Regards,
Gary,

Engine needed is the 172/182 lump code F4R. But that's as far as my knowledge goes mate! I think the mounts used are just the standard 172/182 mounts, prob best waiting for wiser person to answer on that one!

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
you will really want a psh1 172 engine (pre 2001) they have a cable TB and the loom is more basic.

make sure you buy the ECU, loom, decoder ring from the same car as the engine came from.

other parts like subframe, shafts, hubs, brakes can come off any 172 model!

but the ph1 and psh2 subframes are different, so make sure you buy the correct 1!

Thanks for the info guys.

What sort of price are we looking at? and is the new loom plug and play? because with the vauxhall all the pinouts are different so it all needs re wiring.

What sort of price are we looking at to get the engine in and running
