Need Professional's/mechanics Advice----am i right?

Car  172 cup
Got a 1.2 16v 2001 with a throttle body problem.

Bought one off this guy on ebay which was advertised as working on 2001-2008, was the cheapest to auction at £40. Now iv taken the old one out it doesn't match up, quoted the codes to cliospares and it comes up with a 04-06 model.

Also been advertised here: as 01-08------> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-C...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a12589e0f

but on cliospares code on mine is same as this one....... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-C...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4154275cba

WTF?!?

i want my money back, the guy will refund me, but not for postage as he says the body fitted his Y reg clio and says he is in the right. I want all my money back as i would be £10 out of pocket, and i want to proove him wrong :p

Basically.... I am right in saying that there is only one type of throttle body for a 2001 1.2 16v clio??

Dependes if the throttle bodies are different for the 8v or 16v? Also whether his Y reg was a mk2 ph1 or an early ph2?!?

Early D4Fs have the TB in the plenum. On the later models (05 onwards iirc) the body is externally attached to the plenum.

54 onwards has the external TB. Normally on the earlier ones, its just the connection on the TB thats inside the inlet manifold.

They definitley change, IIRC it's around aobut 04/54, been caught out before by it.
