Need some advice with selling this Mini

Got a friend who needs to sell her mini. How much do you guys think she should be looking at.

It a Mini one standard except 17" aftermarket alloys.

2003 reg, 28k on the clock Pics below. she wants 8k for it but im think no way will she get that much as you can get cooper s's for 9 grand if your lucky.
