Need to find where my car was originally from?

I bought my car and the owner says it had renault service history up to 48k but has lost the book.
i rang renault but they cannot find any info as it was bought from the one near me (nottingham)
I need to find out where it was originally from in order to ring them and get a copy of the service book.
Any help much appreciated.
