Needin bumper info

hey ive got a mk2 ph2 dynamique and i am gettin it colour coded, but i need to know if its possible to remove the black bits off the front and rear bumper without sending the whole bumper, because the guy who is doing it is travellin back to his garage in cornwall and would be easier to only give him the bits which need paintin rather than the whole bumpers. am givin him the fuel cap cover for paint colour

the back one does remove. use something flat and ease it off, will come eventually.

ahh i see, so does the front one not come off then, and i imagine its best to remove the whole bumper first to take it off yeh

the front ones do come off.. its a pain and you will have sore fingers but better than being without a bumper! I just pulled at mine starting from the edges.. use a flat headed screwdriver wrapped in kitchen roll (kitchen roll is to stop you damaging paint work on bumper) to lift it up enough to get your fingers under, then gently pull. do the same on both sides as these come off easier than the middle section. There is a series of plastic clips holding the centre section on. Do the same with the screwdriver.. I used a screwdriver to go underneath the plastic trim and press the clips and pull. Its hard to explain, but just have patience and eventually they will come off.. took me the best part of 1 hour! lol..

That only shows how to do it by taking the whole front bumper off.. he wants to do it without taking the bumper off..

id rather know im not gonna damage it.doesnt exactly take much longer to take off the bumpers and do it

yeh actually sounds like an idea to look at the guide bit, and if it doesnt take much longer to take off the whole bumper and then remove the strips then thats alrt
