neglected ford focus

Car  FF Racing Blue 182
hey folks, just thought id share my pictures of my day cleaning the focus.

i drive my focus more than the clio and tbh it rarely sees any soap suds. i dont see myself as a detailer, but i like to try out cleaning products and keep the clio clean, unfortunately the focus is forgot about. well after it passed its M.O.T and it got a service i thought i would clean it.

as you can see from the pictures its boggin, so blasted it with the hose and then sprayed it with citrus power or what i had left.

anyway after giving it a good wash i attacked the tar, which was everywhere i looked. good old AF tar remover seen to that after two hits.

another quick wash and then dried. i bought some R222 paint cleaner for it and used that, found it to be pretty good but hard work by hand. once i done that i put one quick coat of amigo and tough coat on it.

as time was running away i never had time to take pictures of when i dressed the tyres/plastics and done the glass.

those are the results after the polish which im really happy with, as im just finding my feet and what all the products are for, im sure i will improve. its becoming an expensive hobby now and ive not even got a machine yet.

cheers

Never mind cleaning it, i'd be getting those sill re-painted and ASAP!

I know fella, they were like that at 2yrs old when i bought it. This is my last year with it anyway, so they're not getting done in my ownership.

Even if you're px'ing it, just get them smart repaired. £30 a side and bosh, nobody will be scared that it's rotting from the inside out. And/or try and chip you £500 on the price due to rust.
