neons inline fuse :S?

Hey there,

have some footwell neons installed running straight from my battery using a rocker switch, do I need to put a inline fuse on the live wire running from the battery ?

All electrical stuff should have a fuse, to stop it going past peak current. This woul happen if you had a sirt circuit or other damage in the neons. Without the fuse, high current could be drawn uncontrolled and set fire to what ever it passes through, as it heats it up.

So in short, yes you should have a fuse.

600A@ 12v will turn the supply cable into a 7.2kW heater (simlar in size as an electric shower)
