To be honest m8,my type r was just a toy and i was only covering 1000miles a year max.LOL just got board really spent more time cleaning it than driving it,so most of my running costs was polish :D.
really looking forward to the clio as i have just had a full custom remap done and has some pretty good gains on the rollers.

Welcome buddy. The clios are a lot of fun to drive.

I'm on of the area reps for the south west and organise meets with help from Dan' (who seems to be MIA lately :( ) Get your name on the mailing list and attend some meets :)

Good to have another south west member.

Custom remap? Who did that for you? And do you find a noticable difference?

Dan

Mark @ South west in car tech ltd in bristol done it,he mainly does vw,audis etc (vag) but used my car as some development work to go into renault tunning, seriously the man is a genious.
Yes,full custom map and it was used as a development, trying to see what works and didnt work etc,he had my car for approx 3 weeks and spent so much time on it its unreal.
my current spec - matched inlets,182 manifold, sports cat, yozza stealth exhaust, cda carbon airbox,it was 177 bhp with 140torque which had a genaric group n map which was how i bought it.
it now has 189bhp with 161 torque and YES it feels so much better its unreal.
both power graphs was done on the same rollers as well so theres no conflicting results.

Sweet. That must feel so much better. Will be looking at getting mine mapped after the new year. Prob needs a couple more bits to make it beneficial though. I will have only replaced the exhaust and filter by then. Might need to look into matched inlets first.
