new 172 CUP owner

  RenaultSport clio 172 Cup
Hi there
I have just brought a 03 172 Cup in silver which is great fun, i was just wondering if there are any other cup owners out there who have added a new SS exhaust/IK as i am thinking of going down this route and would appreciate any help. Cheers

I did just that to my CUP a couple of weeks ago now.

I now have a magnex cat back system, and a BMC CDA induction kit.

Makes the car accelerate much smoother. Dont know if its any faster, but the noise from them both is nice, and as i said, the car is much smoother, as its less restricted.

less restricted...yes...mayb an increase in power is minimal without a remap. I'd be temped to Put an ITG pannel filter in, decat and BenR's Inlets. It's a sensible gain...without needing a map.

Personally i'd say mine was much less restrictive compared to the OEM box with an ITG panel filter. Purely because it is still an enclosed system, and i have a cold air feed from the lower front grill, which is much better than the standard air feed.

i'd certainly agree on the Inlets too, as for de-cat, that depends if you can be arsed to change it for MOT time each year.
