From June 2002 all new 172s come with switchable traction control, according to Renault UK
Absolutely correct....Not only for UK, but for all countries as well

Mines a June 2002, but Im fairly sure it dont have ESP :-/ how do I tell?

It has to have been made in June 2002....you might find that if you bought the car in June it was actually made in the factory a month or two earlier. If you have TCS youll have the switch!
