New Battery??

ok guys hoping someone can help on this as im desperate.

my laptop battery has finally died, the lappy will work on power but will not charge above 7%

i have found a new battery with the same voltage etc and made by toshiba (my lappy make) but the mAh is different my current battery is 4300mAh but the new one is 6450 mAh.


am i right in thinking i can use the higher mAh one and it will just mean it takes longer to discharge or should i get like for like?

should just take longer to discharge aslong as its the same physical size and ampage and voltage are the same

if the voltage is right and it fits it's all good

thats the answer i was after guys

as its a higher mAh it should be able to last longer than 1hr off mains now lol
