i got mine from halfrauds and seems to be working good. you get a decent warranty on them i think

halfords were expensive for me when i needed one

got one from andrew page instead

I got a Bosch one from some garage (new obv).

Symptoms were/are - It wouldn't start

Starter motor would try to catch but couldn't. Trip computer was reset too IIRC.

Not an immobiliser problem because after a quick jumpstart it's quite happy. Took it on an hours journey earlier on tonight to see if I could get a full charge into the battery, will find out in the morning whether it's charged at all.

My trip keeps resetting, and I *think* it's beginning to take an extra half turn of the starter to catch.... Did you have any less obvious symptoms prior to it not starting?

^^ i knew something was up with the race batteries .

Hope yours works out ok Kev . I think/remember reading they're not made for use with airco + stereo system working on daily basis ...but then again you may surprise a couple of people !!

Mine didn't need a new battery in the end, must just have been the cold weather combined with it not really moving for 2 weeks.

10 kg mate over std battery!! Main reason is so I can fit a far bigger and more efficient airbox in the gap with a proper feed to it!!

10 kg is a very nice improvement :approve:

I put my heavy lump of electricity (oem battery) in the sparewheel-compartiment to get some weight on the back wheels and have some room in the front , also for different airfilter setups

Hummmm, i guess so.... i had a mate in trade get mine... not sure if they have multiple store locations? I know they have a place in Essex, but obviously doesn't help you much...
