After the disapointment of an early exit due to a sheared cam vernier dowel pin (timed back up and all OK - should put on my lottery numbers) we did our second event at the weekend at the New Brighton Prom stages, massive entry of 95 and the usual WRC, Millington Mk2 and Darrians etc etc.
Car was absolutely mega and is a real step up from the Pink car (although it uses the engine from the pink car - fully rebuilt and increase induction length which has given us more torque), brakes are mental and tried to out brakemyself and alway pulled up no issues!! Anyhow we had a great day and at one point were running 3rd O/A (bonkers as never got into the top 10 at this event before and first in class so backed off the pace with 4 stages left but a Darrian in our class got a corrected time and moved us in 2nd in class and 8 seconds behind.!! last 2 stages upped the pace again and got 3 back but not enough. Even so pace was right up there and finished 5th and second in class to a car which weighs over 200kgs less than ours.
ss2 incar (Friday night flootlit super specials), only incar we got due to the go pro remote not set up and having to near dislocate your shoulder to reach the start button! Need to sort that out for next time out. Note me turning the headlights on going round the first roundabout (lol thought it was dark)
