If its a weekend toy, you've got to get something a bit more exciting than an M3!

Ha, can I be honest and say that the only circumstances that of buy an M3 would be as a weekend car! Sod running a 9 year old M car as a daily.......

As long as nothing goes massively wrong they are a perfect daily. Seats my 2 youngsters safely and comfortably, quite happy to potter around town, big boot, eat up the miles, not bad mpg considering the performance plenty of specialists out there to keep costs down on servicing and when the mood takes me I can tear my friends 996 carrera a new arsehole much to his disgust. That's why they are such brilliant all round cars, they do everything! They are just not something I would consider to be a weekend toy.

It takes very little to write cars made from these materials off, so clam damage is believable A friend of mine had a sagaris when it was new stoved the front end into a curb and wrote it off (thats a circa 50k motor) So this prob wont have had significant damage.
