8 POT CALLIPERS!!!! WHAT!!
It's beautiful mate.... But how are you going to get a coffin in it? Roof racks?
Also, the maintenance costs will be huge, but when you're paying pennies for insurance....
the above car... listen to the noise!
v8 in a rx7 is like having sex with your mother... its not cool or a good idea.
because the rotary engine is the soul of a rx7, i have driven a v8 rx7 and they are fun but its not the same car! and better mpg you on smack lol?? just as bad as a 13b!
point of an rx7 when driven hard is to be on the edge of the power band all the time, a looked after 13b will be reliable! torque is easy to get on a rx7 just people dont know how to in the uk! just like people in the uk say you shouldnt run over 1.4bar on a 13b yet people in japan and oz are running essentially the same engines in oz and chucking 2bar plus through them lol!
plus the sound a rotary gives s***s all over a v8!
erm you can rebuild the rotarty through a company for the price i said... there are companies that will come pick up your car take it away, rebuild it and deliver it back for 1500 quid lol!
if a rotary lump is looked after it is reliable! not argument about it there are rotaries over 100k miles!! oil changes good service and running premix will solve most of the issues... good heat management is the key!
the ls engines have their place... a rx7 is not the place.
dude, i know people who use them daily, the reason they go is down to detonation, sort out the issues that cause det and you dont have issues! i live with mine day in day out, run water injection, run ignition amp, run good fuel settup, and a good map, there is nothing to go wrong! im sorry but its just like people saying renault 5 gtt's are unreliable... do things right there is no issue!
as for so many getting converted... there is probably 10-15 in the uk with v8 engines... maybe a few more, there are a hell of alot more that are running rotaries lol and getting rebuilt in the uk and you're comment that to rebuild the rotary costs more than the cold is bs tbh
How much of your engine is standard? Infact, how many rotary's are there out there that are still in the same state as when they left the factory? I mean not rebuilt and have just survived as per the Mazda servicing requirements?? I'm not a gambling man but i'd bet a pretty penny theres not a lot left, if any!!
How Many LS V8's are still going strong and are EXACTLY the same engine/components as the day they left the factory?

I aint no fanboy, it just irritates me when people put engines out of other cars in cars they dont belong in (not sure if that makes sence, its 1am and im nakerd but going out at 1:30..) no idea why it does but it does...
But for example...
V8 in the RX7
Red Top in the corsa
etc etc
:dapprove:
But people have lots of gd reasons for putting other engines in a car....
Here's some reading material for you rotary fanboys.. Don't thank me all at once....
