new cd player and dash display

just wondering if i remove my original cd player will the cd info still display on the dash? or will i need to some fiddly tech wireing job lol

Nope you can get adapters which plug into the wiring loom and into the back of head units to put th information up depends on the head unit though shop around.

i was just wondering this myself! i want a cd mp3 player which will connect to the HUD and work with the steering wheel controls.

whats the cost of the adapters which connect to HUD and steering wheel controls? do halfords rig it up like this included with their fitting?

anyone got any pics of the HUD with an aftermarket player?

Depends which leads you get, used to have a kenwood Hu in my old 172 it displayed all the info track names, radio statiosn etc.

i checked a few websites as i had a part no. at the time (it was 'bout 1yr and a half ago so i can't remember which ones), and they all seemed to be around that mark so i gave up.
