New Clutch for PH2 172 needed

im looking to replace im clutch as the release bearing is not sounding to healthy....just wonder if anyone knows of a good upgraded clutch thats not to expensive?

or am I better just to get a standard clutch?

thanks for any idea's .....cars standard just incase anyone asks

Standard equipment is plenty good enough unless your planning on upping the power drastically i.e. boosting

Go for the valeo unit from Eurocarparts and get the 25% discount they've got.

As standard clutches go, the valeo kit is the best for the 172. Make sure you align it all properly, and very carefully, and the clutch will feel brilliant after. Mine did.

But make sure you get the Valeo item, that is the correct O.E spec clutch...

cheers for that martin......gona have to take the car to the garage first to confirm that it is the clutch as a guy at work thinks it maybe a bearing in the gearbox which a hope its not
