New Cupped 182 At Dealer

Saw a new cupped black 182 at Kings of Taunton today. Looked fantastic.

Didnt ask if it was sold, but worth asking them if ur in a hurry (with the factory closing and all).

Well mine (ordered mid June) was due mid-August until the stripe fiasco.

With no stripes possible I opted for met paint instead.

I then had a phone call saying because of the colour change it had been delayed til Sept 13th and they would just send a letter to confirm it in writing. Not sure why changing colour delayed anything given that the frickin car hadnt even been built DUH!!!!

Turns out they were bullshi**ing on the phone and making it sound better than it really was because when the letter arrived it said "mid-Sept but this is not confirmed as the car hasnt been built yet".

I personally reckon its going to come sometime from late Sept to late Oct. Trouble is I sold my motor and am borrowing someone elses old banger but the MOT on it runs out during that time period so I could have problems!!!

Which is why I get more and more aggravated when I keep hearing about these cars sat in showrooms or on forecourts. I have heard of half a dozen cupped black examples so far. I would happily have taken any one of them.

As Ive said before all this aggro for a dated five year old design of a car! But then I have had two 1.2 16v Clios already and both of those were ordered in early Jan and didnt arrive til mid March so I should have known...

Gosh! I feel for you mate...

I went through the same trouble with excessively long waiting times.

I found that dealers didnt want to let go of a car once it was in the showroom (despite the fact that it wasnt sold)... so no point looking on delaers computer for cars.

I just went round all of the dealers myself until I found one in the showroom, in the colour I wanted... It didnt have the Cup spoiler pack, but I thought "what the hell!". Picked it up the next day...

To be honest Id rather get one tomorrow with no cup spoiler pack and just buy the spoilers myself. Its £200 for the pack so the w*nkers will probably want £500 for it if you buy it seperately but Id hand that money over with a smile on my face if I had the car now!
