New Drivers Seat in MKII 172

I took my car in to have some warranty work done on it today. I also asked them to look at the drivers seat as it was showing signs of wear and the car has only done 15000 miles.

Just got off the phone with the dealer now and they are ordering a new skin for the seat so I will have a new drivers seat.

Anybody else have this done on a MKII 172 ?

where abouts is it wearing, might get some covers for mine to stop the same thing happening?

The skin for the seats as you put it, cost £1400 each

the alcantara on mine is looking worn, 29k. Mk2

Well they have agreed to replace it, no questions asked !

It is wearing on the leather side wall part of the drivers seat.

just wondering do you in your opinion get in and out of the car more often than average?

do you wear particularly agressive clothes ?

have u even cleaned the leather with leather cleaner?

when you say its showing signs of wear, is it wearing through you mean?

It looks like it is scratched and peeling.

I probably get in and out of the car once a 4 times a day at the moment.

The Spa avatar is because we are off to the Spa F1 circuit on the weekend for a trackday and I made the avatar for that reason.

James is just playing silly buggers by having a Lidl avatar !
