Should i or shouldnt i?

This is a question ive been asking myself for the past two weeks.

I had a exhaust on my Mark 1 Phase 3 before the big ends went, and my god it was loud, gave me a few horses, but loud indeed.


So, what options do i have? I like the smaller ones that you see on Williams and 16 valve cars. Or should i leave it standard, which is has been, ive noticed better fuel economy and even faster speeds in the car which i didnt have previously.

Any ideas on what i can do?

A full system is out of my league to be fair, just a cat back. I do have a decat pipe to be cleaned up and painted, waiting for the right time to put it on.

personally i would prefer to have a loud car so everyone turns round to look but im a poser so you know or get a mid sized backbox which isnt ott loud but a nice sound to it and will probably not decrease the performance of your car

The whole point of me removing the old exhaust was because it was loud.
I have a 1.2L so im not wanting to show off.

I realise it wont decrease performance if i get a larger exhaust, but im after a smaller one which has grunt, just not loud.

Shiney new car at the end of september/october im hoping.

However, would set the car off a bit better i was hoping.

Closes up how many people would be interested though and you wont make the money back on it. However I suppose it is 8 months or so of use. If you do then go for a much quiter one, that wont put so many people off it come sale time
