new exhaust system for mk2 172

My exhaust needs replacing so rather than waste money replacing it with a stock exhaust am going to go for a custom

any recommendations? - was thinking powerflow or pro speed in cardiff

also is it worth getting a sports cat? do they make alot of difference and will there be any problems when it comes to MOT time?

any advice would be great

if not then pro-speed, if not... powerflow. all 3 will do a good, well built job. yozzas system would be my choice though.

as tommy says really... personally i went for Powerflow, mainly cos they are near to me LOL.
but im well impressed with it

yea, it is a fair drive to cardiff from london but if the price is right ill do it - have heard good things about their exhausts and a couple of bad things about powerflow!

Iv had the new k-tec stealth system on for a couple of days now, it sounds meaty and must say I was suprised by the improved throttle response, wasnt expecting much, only bought it as im planing to keep the car for a while and cant be bothered with the standard one falling off again in 2yrs time!

The 172 Cat ins't amazing so it will help with power but its its fine why chnage it IMO. The rear exhast system on clios 172 is a problem due t the weight of the rear back box not being help you can get the exhaust welded up and have an extra brakcet made (if you get a mechanic under the car they'll see where its needed to be) and thats sorts it much cheaper.

ive got a sports cat - more trouble than its worth - emissions light comes on now and again. 100psi failed the MOT so now have a 200psi but if I could start again I would spend my money on something that makes a noticeable difference and doesnt cause lights on the dashboard to come on!

I've got a sportscat from Orbisoud with a Ktec system to the back, no lights on the dash (but this differs per car) and i like the performance.

A decat will give the most benefit though, sportscat wo'nt get you through MOT anyway so why not try decat !? Sound will be a lot louder so i've been told, which is why i went for the sportscat
