new exhaust

The last 4-5 people haven't had them long

My 182's just been dropped off at K-Tec Racing, who are taking it up to Janspeed for 2 weeks to develop a new exhaust for the 182.

Janspeed also have a great reputation, so im looking forward to what they're gonna come up with. I'll report back in 2 weeks when i get the car back.

Well I had to re-site the extra rear mount that Charlie fitted after about 400 miles. When the exhaust got hot it moved back, but the rear mount Charlie fitted was causing the exhaust to buckle a little and thus the tail pipe touched the surround and melted it. So add £18 for another surround (I can see it's done similar on yours btw ;-) )

The centrer section split on the welds at the front and rear of the rear silencer. Had to have it re-welded. This was possibly due to a design fault or a couple of parts had been missed. Can't remember how long this was, but I posted a thread on here about it. Was within 12 months.

And as for the only one... Ask Timclio172 about his... lol.

Intersesing, apparently my old one (feb 2006) broke here too........

Hmmm. Wonder if anyone else has had the same....

Worth noting that I was always pleased with the way it sounded and only ever had positive commments from people, including 'non-petrol head' types.

Its either broke there, or on the pipe into/out of the centre section. Can't remember

Couls till be the same cause. Whichever of the two welds was the weaker would go first. Apologies for the paint drawing - Was back in the days before I knew how to CAD. lol.

Laingo, you could get your prospeed fixed then sell it on here to pay towards a new one?
