New family wagon.....

  53 Clio's & counting
Hey Ant long time no speak!

Car looks epic, whats up with the box?

Still got Evo's? That Evo 3 you had/have is /was epic lol

I like those seat, suit the car so well.

GF's uncle had a tour car RS4 Avant in Nagaro (I think that's what it's called) blue. The seats were like armchairs, like the ones below...

Excuse the MAHOOSIVE pic:

LOL you don't mess about, do you ?

Got kids therefore gotta buy a people carrier and become beige.

Orrrr, just buy a stupidly quick wagon.

Good work !!

Just a big f**k of awesomeness! What a car.

I know they cost a lot to run, an awful lot but under 10k sees you into one and they are just epic!

You actually hate MPG, I bet you can't remember what 20mpg looks like?

  Changes to often
Driven a few of these when I used to work at audi, utter monsters lol, love them

they are truly epic ,and i have known a few people who have had them ...... rear suspension ,and brakes make your eyes water though ...... but like anything nice you just have to accept it .

proper people mover.

one day i will dip into owning an RS2 , just because ...... but good ones are hard to find

only other one i have considered is an S6 avant (V10 version as they can be had for good money

Despite my genetic disposition to dislike most cars with 4-rings on them - the RS6+ that was here at work sounded epic. I had a softer spot for the RS4 Avant before it for some reason, though?

I bet the running costs of your previous Evo's will seem trivial in comparison, Ant! ;)

I had a ride in one of these quite recently. Not at any speed, but it was a nice wagon. Proper nice inside despite knocking on a bit.

I met a bloke who's just bought one last week. He's bought a specialist warranty that covers everything on the car including the gearbox, and was about £600 for 3 years all in.
I want one so badly, but couldn't afford the potential bills :(

What warranty is that? Might be something to consider if I want a silly car haha!

I too have a mild hatred for the silver ringed cars although these are special, unlike most of the other generic metal.
I was made to look a bit of a tit when I had the M3 by one!

I cannot see a full warrenty on an rs6 covering everything for 600 a year let alone 3 years .....

And brakes are big money to replace so thats a big bill alot of older high milers need discs

We're these taken in Naseby by any chance? Looks like somewhere I was the other week lol

Warranty's are pointless on these now, unless Audi warranty. Half of them don't pay out due to age of cars. Warranty = pot luck. Cars are cheap, but for a reason, front discs alone from Audi are 1k.

Re the warranty, I was considering one but when you look into the small print they they actually cover very little 'big stuff' on it.

Stunning car, perfect spec and not stupidly tuned...

Only car I would consider at the moment in exchange for my car would be a rs4 avant, but running costs v performance it's a step backwards, but road prescence and sound it's a big step forward!

hmmm

How many miles can you get out of a set of fronts on average then?

Ideal family wagon! If only I could afford one.
How come the discs are so much? Are they ceramic?

discs are one piece but with alloy centre bells , and front and rears are f**king expensive , the pikey option is to fit Vw Pheaton discs but the value in an RS6 is with the proper kit fitted ......

DRC rear suspension issues will make a set of discs seem like pocket change , the valves go and are anything around 1500 quid , bills of 3 and 4 k to sort rear suspension out are not unheard of which is why lots of cars see it ripped off and replaced with aftermarket (again devalueing in my mind)

there are some hefty RS6 bills i did alot of research and as we tend to do fair mileage some of the time in our cars moved on buy hence my comment about a 3 year 600 quid warranty , as that's not going to cover anything .

discs last anything between 15-30k depending on how you drive. Being a auto they get more wear. I have bills upwards of 8k spent on DRC suspension in the earlier part of my cars life and tbh it's not worth investing in. I owned one a few years ago which just had all 4 shocks replaced & pump. It was s**tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt. Not quite sure what idiot would fit Phamtom rear discs, you have to use spacers, f**k that.

indeed you have to use spacers Any , there are quite a few out there with them fitted though , and no everyone knows what they are looking at.
