Changed my standard speakers this afternoon, a 20 minute job if anyone fancies doing it, very easy to do. Replaced them with Alpine 200w fronts and 100w JVC rears. They needed wire adaptation to connect up to the plastic connectors (£4 for a pair). The car had a Phillips head unit and sounds ok, I wasn't expect them to sound like my TTs Bose system but I can't tell a huge amount of difference. I think the way to go is with a small amp to really get a greater sound but I'm not that fussed.
