Saw my first Alpine today. A white one, same that I've only seen a Renault 5 in white. The Alpine had a lot more to it... looked very nice, especially with the correct choice of wheels.

Just casually charging up in Waterford and this American guy comes up to me and proclaimed to be obsessed with the 5’s and was desperate to see one while he was in Ireland. He asked if he could take a picture so I obliged.

As he wandered off I noticed another one parked further down the street

I've seen a few knocking about now and the green would be my last choice I think. I've yet to see an alpine though .

I've seen one 5 and one Alpine, both in black. Really hides the car IMO, although both were on the move when I saw them. I'd have one in a bright colour, far too many monochrome cars and in something interesting you'd want it to be seen.

Saw a Blue A290 today, they do have pretty decent presence on the road and I definitely wouldn’t mind a go in one. Blue with black roof would be my choice with the upgraded wheels.

I’ve literally just seen an Apline about ten minutes ago, think I prefer the five.

The styling on the Apline looked a bit busy, too try hard maybe?

I wasn't really close enough to study the details but the colour and the lights looked OK to me. The 5 looks a bit chunky in green or yellow imo.

This one was dark blue and had some Apline decals down the side

Doesn’t really matter as they’ll be outnumbered by the CS Puma brigade soon

It looks so big next to the Clio! I hadn't thought about the size much until recently, but this picture of mine from the other week kinda makes it hit home, looks like it gave birth to a couple of Minis

Went in to have a look around and they had a old school 5 in there, crazy seeing the size difference between them. A290 feels a bit SUV like being so tall.
