new gear box or get mine reconditond

had a quote 2day from a local garage 2 get my gear box recond and fittd and towed in2 the garage......the quote was around £700.... is this a decent price???

also wud it be better for me 2 just get a new gear box instead? can ne 1 on here get them at a cheeper price then buyin them from reno?

500 is the normal going rate for a re-con box plus fitting
engine out in a valver is easiest or drop the sub frame
