I bought mine from motorprovider.co.uk back in November for £12500 with cup suspension/spoilers and metallic paint.

From one monkey to another ;)

Generally any that you find on websites for sub 12k are pre-registered.

This just means that you are technically the 2nd owner. Companies do this so that they can claim the VAT back, and pass the savings onto you. My car was pre-registered.

Although that said, you can get some pretty good deals directly from the dealers if you haggle a bit.

yeah i think the best way is to get some quotes from the internet and print them off and say "Give me this price or im going elsewhere biatch". Then theyll say "fine then mofo". Then you say "Ok give me a call when youre ready to make a deal and are done p*ssing about". Then you go home and guess what... in a couple of days the guys on the phone with a tastey price.

This is just from what ive heard. Ive not gone for this take on prisoners style of haggling yet but when i get my 182 i shall be applying this method to the book.

Got mine pre-registered from Arnold Clark, Warrington for £11900. Metalic paint and cup spoiler pack (not cup suspension). Only took 3 weeks, was told up to 10 weeks from internet suppliers.

yup i know what you mean i went into my local dealers yesterday just to have a look at coulor options and they had a 54 plate in for 12,000 in artic blue with the cup sus pack it had only done 2k, i really wanted it but they would not bude on the price as i have a strict buget, it was a real bummer but a had to walk away, i am currantly dealing with three suppliers as i have to part ex my cooper which i want 10k for if i cant part ex it for the price i want i will have to sell it private which will take time and i want a 182 now damit!!!!!!!!!

im getting my new 05 plate 182 black gold with both cup packs in 4 weeks from arnold clark renault dealer in stirling for £12700 on the road!!

dont think you should be paying 12grand for a preregistered one with 2000 on the clock monkey boy!!

Its subjective.

I paid £13.5k for a pre-registered brand new car 0 miles on the clock.

But that included Liquid Yellow ID paint which is an extra £1150 anyway

So on that basis i paid about £12.3k for mine without the yellow.

The fact that its pre-registered shouldnt make any difference. But i wouldnt pay 12k for one with 2k miles on the clock.

i totally agree ill just sit it out thers plenty out there to choose from its just doing my head in waiting but thats the way it is

Mine was pre-registered by Arnold Clark, with 6 miles on the clock. I paid £11900, full UK spec with Metallic paint, un-cupd... this was way back in June 04, have seen the same deal with metallic paint and bopth cup packs.

Id recommend buying a service option too, I got 3 years servicing for about £200, adds like 75p a month to finance probably, well worth it!

Oh and i got my 172 cup for 10,700 pre reg with 20 miles on the clock at the start of last year! Im glad i did as they are quite rare. I see loads of 182s on the road but not alot of 172 cups which i like!

I dont see many 172s, cups or 182s to be honest, must depend on where you stay...

am i right in thinking the cup is cheaper cos it comes with cloth seats and less of the giddy bits as i would probabley go for one and also how differant are they to drive with the handaling pack and is metalic paint in with the price
