New guy with a 172.......and questions

Hi all new to the Renault scene, I have a 53 172 which is great fun but have a few questions.
First of any idea what this noise is and is it normal on tickover ?

and second anyone any good with wires that can point me in the direction of sorting out under seat wires.
This is how my drivers seat currently sits, as you can see it all needs connecting (somehow)
