New headliner on top of old

I've read a few posts of people saying that replacing the headlining can be difficult and some go as far as saying it shouldn't be attempted at al.
Mine has stains on it and I was to freshen it up. Is it possible I can get a new cloth to go over the existing one without removing it? perhaps it might also help in giving some insulation at the same time?

I wouldn't say they're that bad to change, a little awkward yes but not the worst job for sure.

Grab handles are a pain, but otherwise as long as you get the headlining lined up correctly then you can't really go wrong.

It is not that bad of a job, the hardest bit is getting the lining out of the car.
I did mine on my track car cost about £25, 3 cans of high temp adhesive and a couple of metres of faux suede off ebay.
Just take your time, when spraying the glue do it in small sections don't try and do it all in one go or you will be fighting with the material when it keeps sticking to the glue.

Looks smart with the vent and blanks too, been wanting to do this myself.

Is this the stuff... or any recommendations on what's proven to work?
