New headunit

  Black mk3 clio
I already have this headunit, http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001819LEG/?tag=cliospnet01-21
I've had it for about 4 years now and its getting a bit temperamental so was looking at getting a new one.
I'm looking at another sony one http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0073T2NSS/?tag=cliospnet01-21.
If i get this one, will i be able to just unplug the old one and put the connectors into the new one for it to work?
And if i get a different headunit (any suggestions?) what parts would i need for it to work and how would i do it?
I have a vague idea of how to do it. Get a wiring adapter to go onto the existing car wiring and then join all the wires to the corresponding colours on the wiring that comes with a head unit?
Never done it before but would like to learn how to do it.
Car's a mk3 clio btw on a 2006 plate.
Thanks for any help.

Alpine FTW. As expensive as you can get.

Had mine since about 2004 and it's been absolutely spot borrock on since. It's on the fifth car since then I think.. still the best aftermarket HU I've ever used/heard in any car.

Just take the old one out and put the new one in. No adaptors needed. I've fitted hundreds of radios and never needed one.

99% of them have universal ISO connectors. Standard kit.
