New iPhone launch today

Looks like the 3G iPhone will be available in most countries, 70 in total over the coming months.

The price is a maximum of $199 all around the world for the 8gb :)

Should be nice and cheap here then. Bang goes the secondhand market for my iPhone.

So if no more than $100 USD worldwide we can expect to pay £100 in the UK? Hope so. That's a bargain.

iPhone 3G delivers UMTS, HSDPA, GSM, Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPS and Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR in one compact device — using only two antennas. Clever iPhone engineering integrates those antennas into a few unexpected places: the metal ring around the camera, the audio jack, the metal screen bezel, and within the iPhone circuitry itself. And intelligent iPhone power management technology gives you up to five hours of talk time over 3G networks.2 That’s some of the best in the business.

$299 would place the 16gb model at £150 but I reckon we'll probably pay closer to £200 if not more.

getting one, not sure on the all plastic back though, quite like the current metal back, breaks things up abit.

Wonder how much we will be able to get for our 1st gen Iphones some july!?
