new leads, still not firing on all for

Tried replacing what I thought was dodgy leads (kindly supplied by Adam) but it is still not firing on one cylinder. Could the coil be faulty or would that just not fire at all?

depending on the ecu/coil setup typically DIS ignition will ignite 2x2 (i think the 2&3 then 1&4 depending on the engine) So if it was a coil pack fault, or wiring loom to the coil pack, or the ecu damaged by a bad coilpack or loom.. it would miss on 2 cylinders, not 1.

hmm.. How can I check which cylinder its not firing on? Do I need to run it with the inlet manifold off so I can get to the plugs?

Disconnect the plugs one by one with the car running, if you disconnect one and it makes no difference then that's the dodgy plug/lead.

Are you using the recommended spark plugs?

Right done that and i'm getting a spark on all four leads at the coil end and one hell of a belt myself ha ha! So they can only leave plugs or injectors right? Wow i'm buzzing now

Ok so its cylinder three that's not firing ie no change when injector unplugged so am I right in thinking its either a spark plug or injector fault? Swap a plug over then I suppose

Yep, spot on.

My bet is on the injector.
