New Member Looking For Some Advice About Lowering A 182 Cup Seat

  Clio 182 Cup
Hey guys, been reading the site for a while and only just got round to joining as I have just taken delivery of my very first Clio, its a 54 plate 182 cup. I bought it as a bit of a play thing and to have some fun with. The car is immaculate and am glad I took the time to find the right car. The one major problem with the car for me is the driving position, I am over 6' tall and want to get the seat as low as possible, I have looked and searched the forum but can only find bits and pieces about this and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction to a comprehensive answer, I am going to get a new seat but need to know the best subframe for dropping the seat, which parts I need and most importantly which company makes the easiest solution. Please be easy on me as I'm sure the regulars are sick of stupid newbies like me asking the same boring questions over and over :rasp:

Welcome!
As far as the standard seat goes you can lower it around 15mm by removing the vibration dampers. There's a guide in the members area on here iirc.
Other than that - any bucket seat on a subframe will sit MUCH lower, there are often bucket seats for sale in the for sale section (viewable by members only so if you want to see you have to pay £12 for a year) But then the steering column is likely to be too high so you'll need to lower that too.
