the cabasse h/u is a much better unit to the one that came in the car

the cabasse headunit is mint compared to the tape deck that came with it. twice the power and sounds alot better through my new speakers that went in last week.

ive got some 10mm spacers sitting here which will be going on very soon, and when they were trial fitted it looked immense on the front end.

camera is a samsung NV10 10.1mp which came off ebay for about £110. bargain

got the cabasse headunit, phoenix gold octane R front mids and momo polk coaxials in the rear.

also ordered my new subframes today, and following their discussion i'm a bit more optimistic they should be here in time for FCS. so a trip to birchdown renault may be in order

Fair does, bloody excellent. Wonder how he got the finish so flat? Is the yellow a flat colour, or does it need a clear coat??

you can specify it as either, but i opted for a groundcoat which i lacquered over.

on these particular strips i sprayed, and then used 1500 to flatten them and a combination of 2500 and 3000 to perfect them before using a 4'' compounding head on the megs polisher. then followed that up with britemax perfect and finish and a quick coat of wax and bobs your uncle.

sounds good mate. how much did they set you back? is there much midbass improvment? how about distortion? i find i cant go over volume 18 on my headunit without distortion and at that point its not all that loud.

tbh ive never taken it that loud, but can comfortably take 24 - but i prefer to have it on about 15, as it just balances out with the yozzasport lol.

mids were circa £40 off ebay, rears RRP at £50 but got them off a forum member ages ago for about £25-30 i think.

will have to look into them at somepoint. so many things i want for the car at the minute. unfortunately new tyres and a service have got to take priority
