Was at Donnington last night and the old girl performed great.
Was doing about 15/20 min stints and the brakes showed hardly any signs of fade.
Ebc cross drilled/grooved discs and yellow stuff pads. Fresh 5.1 fluid.
Was doing a cool down lap before coming in as well
However pretty much my last lap before heading home they started to go.
My missus drove it home, as I had took a another motor with the tools in, luckily it's 20 mins away and when she got back she said it was grinding.
Anyhow I think copper grease was used in the sliders and it's got too hot and turned into a black mess and seized one of the sliders in.
Also is it the grooves/holes causing the marks on the other pad.
It's mainly a road motor with the odd track day.
Going to go with ds2500.
The yellow stuff pads seemed to last well but heard good stuff about the ferodo pads.
Is it worth changing the discs as well? Maybe some of the high carbon brembo jobs, there pretty cheap and never been a fan of drilled discs.
Any other ideas? Best options.
