New plates... opinions please

  BMW M5 & E36
Got some new plates through this morning, proper size, proper font just with no postcode/writing at the bottom whatsoever, so argueably legal.

For the front I cropped about 3 inches off each end as the reg number is quite compact due to the #1. I'm unsure whether to do the same for the back, or just leave it full size?

Also used sticky pads this time and did away with the fugly screws.

Before with all the crap at the bottom (hate it!):

look's really nice, i like plain plates, would put a standard size 1 on the back tho.

Cutting plates looks odd because the numberplate recess is for a full size one, but whatever floats ur boat

I like that. Leave the back std though, stops you getting tugged by the filth.

You can get 'clean' plates legally from www.fancyplates.com as they are made in Northern Ireland they don't need the postcode details of the maker. Lovely plates, had loads of them over the years.

It was bought as a full size clean one (same as below), I cut it down myself. It remains original height.

This is the back, think I'll leave it the size it is:

Pretty sure their now illegal too.

My mate bought a Teg and got pulled for the front plate being 10mm narrower at the ends than the law states

Law states that there should be an 11mm gap between the letters and the edge at both ends, and it's more than that.

Thanks to whichever mod removed the retarded comment, they clearly had nothing better to do than make negative comments for the fun of it.

And Daz, good man! :)
