New rear bearings = Better cornering?

  Clio 197
I've had my new rear bearings/discs today...

...is it me, or does this thing corner a lot better now?

I can't exactly describe the feeling before I had them changed... only to say that the car felt unstable, wallowy and rubbery.

I had the car on a ramp, and there was no play in the bearings... yet new ones have made a difference somehow. Odd don't you think?

They may have shaken about when cornering but you couldn't recreate the feeling moving the wheel by hand.
