What a load of old s**t.

I had 40k through my 172 Cup rear pads and they were still ok - just changed them for routine/age purposes.

13k and shagged rear pads. bull s**t.

mine had its 24k service yesterday and has only 40% wear on the rear, they told me I had 40% wear on the front at 12k!

If Rory's rear pads are only 40% worn at 24k then there's definately something dodgy about yours being fecked at only 13k...

Mind you, I've seen Rory's driving - brakes aren't used that often ;)

Changed my old 172's rear pads at just over 30k . 13k seems very low .

mine are wrecked at 16k thats down to and i quote "the lack of asbestos in the pads cause them to stick" so they told me that it would cost me to fix them as the brakes are only warrantied for 6k! told them to get stuffed would do it myself and replace with ebc ceramics instead of thier asbestos free crud lol

The thing is Renault say a pad is only usbale for about half its thickness so if there say 100mm thick and you've worn 2.5mm off then there 50% worn. You can run them down to the bare metal realy though. ALos Renault are often overoptimimistic my rear drums are supposidly 805 worn and cracked due to ecess heat and there nothing like that bad I'bve had pads where they say 95% worn imediate replacment and they had a few mm on them still.
