New Recaros, airbag light on

  330 Ci
I've recently fitted a set of Evo Recaro's into my car - tried the trick with the 4 Ohm resistors and for some reason it hasn't work... not sure why, but the upshoot is that my airbag light has now come on.

What's the best way to go about resetting it?.. Will one of the OBD2 U380 code readers do the job (the one that K-tec sell)??? I had a look on ebay and the seller that i contacted about it said that they wouldn't do the job :S !?!

true, but i think i've fixed it (however won't know until i've reset it)

.. anyone shed any light on whether the OBD2 will do this?

jenic: I haven't got any pics of them in yet - but i'v got a pic of one of the Evo Recaros (the one on the right) next to a Trendline that i trialled first.. interesting to see the slight differences betweent the two! (Bigger side bolsters, no extendable leg support, different panels/stitching)

think the airbag circuit is self resetting

so once it thinks everything is ok the light should go off

really?.. so it doesnt need taking to a garage to have it done? Even better :)

Phil-ip - could you PM/Post up a picture of where you've put the resistor across the plugs pls?
