New To Clios, 2 Questions

  Not got a car
Question 1;

How do i move the drivers seat up and down, Ive found the lever I think put its stiff and dont do anything.

Question 2;

Traction controll/ESP

Ive read the book and see that if you turn it off the warning light on the dash lights up and warn you. When its on i assume that when its helping gain control the warning light will flicker on the dash.

Going round the roundabout today i thought i would give it some welly and see how well it sticks BUT i got loads of over steer, lots of side ways jap drifting and managed to correct it, The traction control was on but felt like it was not working the engine didnt die and it didnt correct, i nealry 360'd it.
My Astra Coupe turbo you could sling it in and out of corners and it would stick and the Traction control would alter the engine, brakes ect and it was ace round the corners. Im dissapointed that the clio done that to be honest.

1, two levers at front of seat base, forward & back & the other up & down.
Pull lever & shunt forward seat will either shoot forward or move up.
2, ESP light on dash 'lit' means you turned it off, not good on icy roads.

What tyres & pressures you running, cause if an astra handles better you've got problems ;);)

The ESP was def turned on, cant see why it slip every where like it did

over steer drifting in a from wheel drive hatch back? and i thought the v6 was happy to spin! think you have expericed lift of oversteer and a loss in tread on your tyres as a result. not the best weather we have right now to be giving it some welly - esp a new car to you.

I think the Clio has less intrusive TC than other cars so that drivers can actually enjoy themselves and get the back out a little on corners, rather than having a nannying system that doesn't let you do anything.

As above, you shouldn't rely on the car to sort things out!

lesson learnt. I think it was lift off oversteer, Cant really remember, I was
Concentrating more on trying not to foul my self.
