New to forum 182

  Clio sport 182
New to this forum so thought I’d post on this section.
I have bought myself a clio 182 on a 2005 plate.
i paid 850
Half service history, lots of paper work 120k on the clock.
It’s standard apart from a straight through exhaust that it passed the mot with last week.
overall it’s in great condition. Interior really clean and outside just the odd mark that’s with a detail would come out.
Standard wheels on that need a refurb.
im looking for people thoughts on where I go with it.
I’d like to keep it pretty standard change exhaust to a cat front section too loud atm. Add an induction kit.
I’d like to upgrade suspension all round and upgrade brakes with good Toyo tyres on.
Now where do I go with this. Any recommendations on where to shop or what I should do first? Any pictures on things people have done to there. Nice boot build? I’d like this to be a car I keep use on a sunny day for fun driving.
mid appreciate any feed back and pictures please. I will leave some pictures of mine.
thanks

Welcome to the club mate.

Is there any proof of the belts being done by a reputable company?

if not I’d definitely start there.

I have no proof of belts being done. Would it be better for me to buy them and buy genuine Renault or is the updated ones you recommend? Thanks

This, suspension bushes, track rods etc all the wear parts.
bring back the rear lights to standard.
use search function

did you just say 'good Toyo tires' ?
What suspension do you recommend? Would you upgrade the bushes to the power flex ones? Track rod ends and drop links all replaced on the mot.
I always thought toyo proxy were good tyres? Is that not why you would say? Thanks

" Good " and " Toyo " aren't normally used in the same sentence. Lots of decent tyres out there that are so much better, do a search on here.
www.renaultpartsdirect.co.uk for lots of parts you're after replacing, suspension , bushes etc .......
Welcome to CS

I wouldn’t even bother contemplating changing the belts yourself unless you’re proficient and have the correct locking tools. Just take it to a specialist and get it sorted. And if there’s no proof of them being done you might want to get them done sooner rather than later.
