New tuning parts fitted

Hi there, i've just put on a K&N gen 2 kit, de-cat, full ktec racing 2.5 inch exhaust system and a grp N ecu all reflashed to suit mods. Has any one had these parts fitted and if so were you happy with the power gains. my car is kicking out 210bhp with 180ft/lp I was more than happy with the results. gary

No they did the reflash to suit all the mods then sent it. i live to far away to go anywere.

It not all cause the grp N its the de-cat and exhaust system and the gen 2 kit. bb performance do them as well

Did you get a dyno print out at all? I`m new to the clio scene so just wondered what the clio graphs looks like compared to my old car.

I have had a decat, decent panel filter and a full exhaust before on my old 172 and I would be lucky if it done anything to the performance. Hence why I said the group N must be good!!

It does make a big dif. money well spent i'd say. it gives 1000rpms extra, 10/12bhp and 9/10 lp to a standerd sport with nomods. the gen 2 k&n helps big time.

There is no way in hell your car is putting out that much.

It doesn't put out 172 hp from factory, it's closer to 172...

he has a 182 to start with but I agree those claims are a little high - I would expect more around the 190bhp mark - I have a 172 with sports cat, full exhaust, hill power induction kit, my manifold is being matched as we speak and then having a group n chip and hopefully expect to get about 185bhp.

Over reading dyno?

210bhp sounds too high as others have said. Would have thought you would need cams to get that high. The raised rev limit (extra 1000rpm) from the Grp N does'nt really gain you any power on standard internals. Fair play if thats a true reading though!

If he's happy with the car the power figure means f**k all. I once used well lanes dyno and the 182 with a remap showed over 200hp yet on a more accurate dyno the true figure of 186! Rolling road figures are b****cks, unless you have a reliable before and after (within the day) they are not work s**t! Anyway as i always say you don't drive a bit of paper .

To the thread owner... Your car is NOT that power. Probably closer to 190. Go find a dyno dynamics dyno then post your results

the factory 182 comes with 180 bhp. noprob i understand what your saying, i'm going to take it to another garage, i don't know all that much about clio or that yet so i;ll take it to a better garage and get it done and hopefully have a truer result. cheers

spot on mate thats what i'm going to do. as you say this could be totaly wrong so i'll get it done when i can. and yeah i'm chuffed with my drive

k tec were great. they didn't tell me it would be that i just went to this crappy garage and this is what it turned out. i thought it was way to much. i'll get it done by pro's but i'll need to travel to get this done.
