newbie de-cat advise

  Clio Sport 182 (Cup)
hi Ive finally decided to get a milltek for my 182 but um-in and ar-in about getting a de-cat??? a friend of mine who's a Renault technician said I'd have running problems and i won't be able to switch the engine light off, that WILL come on after a few hundred miles........ is this true??
I want a de-cat, as its much cheaper than a sports cat, plus my original split.
My main concern is i don't want to see the engine light on!!

thanks in advance:D

the light will come on, but it won't cause any problems

if you buy a sport cat, you become a homo

just decat it, yozzasport only, you become semi gay if you buy anything else

;);)

I used a piece of insulating tape behind the instro panel. Cover the hole where the LED bulb shines through.
1'' piece of tape cut off, cost roughly 0.0000001 pence. Totally hidden, easy to do, Job done ;)

There are a lot of 182 drivers that say the decat does'nt make one f**k of a difference, maybe even looses power . Just makes a lot more noise. The 172 DOES benefit because of the different manifold

Maybe the 182 exhaust needs some back-pressure

  a thirsty one
dont bother with sport cats the 182 alreaqdy has a 200 cell cat V the 172 which i think had 400 cell cats, you can buy a 120cell cat but really for the amount they cost v the gain i wouldnt bother with one imo and get a decat.

i have mine mated to a btb system and it sounds perfect, not too loud at all or boomy and it does seem to pick up and rev 5k+ easier.

yozza was a great bit of kit.
