Newbie from the midlands

Hi All
New person here, I picked up a 172 cup yesterday Lovely little things, aren't they?
I'm not traditionally a french car person (although I had a K Reg 1.4 RT many moons ago... ) more of a jap persuasion - I've had mx5's, and MR2, DC2, 200SXs and have a long running RX7 project that sucks most of my cash. Hence the need for an economical daily!
It was bought to replace an MX5 as a 'sensible daily' although it seems the one I've got has had the ISOfix bar removed from the rear seats - so if anyone has one they'd like to get shot of, please let me know!

I wasn't convinced about the 172, but drove an absolute nail of a 182 at the weekend and still very much liked it, so went to see the cup yesterday and now my mind has been changed. It reminds me a lot of my other half's old DC2 in the way it handles and gives feedback. It was supposed ot be a cheap runaround but I can see myself getting carried away and restoring to former glory!
Right, off to look for ISOfix bars, engine mounts, and rear caliper rebuild kits... :S

Which part of Mids are you? We have East and West (which is best!!!) We do arrange meets and do a monthly meet on the 2nd Monday of each month.

I would join as we have a guides section where something new to you, is old to us and I would be certain your first issue will cost more than the £12 for membership...and you get a joining pack too...
