  Clio 182 Trophy
Hi all,
Although not yet a ClioSport owner, I have been enthusiastic about them for a while.

In the process of selling one of my cars in order to make way for a 182 Trophy, or a petrol blue or liquid yellow 182.

Looking forward to reading some of the interesting and helpful topics on here and to embrace the ClioSport marque fully.

I'm pretty sure it was made illegal to say/write Sierra Cos..... without posting a picture!

Welcome along bud and yes... we need photos please... in fact let's see all the cars you've got!

Ok, ok, but this is a one off. I don't like to talk about other marques on forums for cars of other makes. My other car is only a BMW 3 Series which is my daily. I won't bore you with pics of that.

But here's some of my Cossie. These were taken last summer. Since then it has had its original amber lights reinstated.

Welcome

Love a cossie, i fear you will have trouble trying to source a petrol blue or liquid yellow 182, trophy will be easier but also command more money...

Good luck with your search and be sure to post pics of what you get

Yeah you're right on the rare coloured 182's front. In comparison, the make Trophy's look common!!! Even then, nice Trophy's are hard to come by as well.

Well I'm happy to play the long game really. It'll only ever be a second car, so it's not as though I'd be going without something to drive daily whilst I wait for the right one to come up.

Good luck in your search.

Lovely Cossie, not sure I'd be selling it for a Clio tbh.

Don't worry about talking about other cars on here, most people don't even have clios anymore!

Well I may be mad to part with a Cossie, but when you need to extend your house and need funds then the easiest way is to sell the prized asset and buy a cheaper 2nd car that'll still be fulfilling whilst putting a few ££££'a in my pocket.

Let's just say that selling a Cossie will be a slow process as my heart is trying to overrule my head on that front. Who knows, but if I can come up with a plan B in the meantime I may yet keep it.

Still, I'm in the right group as I'm enthusiastic about the Clio 182's and will own a minter at some point - however long that may be.

Beware.... These clios get under ya skin haha

God damn renault sport bug

Well that's what I'm thinking. Nippy, great handling (particularly the Trophy), and a LOT cheaper than owning a Cossie. To own a Cossie you've pretty much gotta be able to afford two with all their upkeep.

They really are good cars, and had less problems if any with the 4 ive had, than the german cars ive had or do still have.

That's good to hear mate. Not saying the Cossie's are problematic but when something does go, it ain't cheap

Cossie looks great. I can't remember the last time I saw a Sierra cosworth. Whats the market like value wise on those now? Are they on the up now 3 door's are stratospheric?

According the Sapphire Cosworth registrar within the RS Owners Club, they're averaging going up £2k a year.

I think the ball park figure is £12-15k at the moment for respectable ones. Exceptional ones will be more as per usual with any marques.

The Sapphire's don't have the Motorsport history of the 3 door Sierra's and Escort's, so will always be the poorer relation. Take nothing away from them though. They're fantastic cars and arguably the better "drivers" car.
