hi,
i have a 53 plate 172 (61k on the clock) which i love. However in 14 months of owning it have had to replace the exhaust, lambda sensor, rear discs and pads, bottom ball joints, steering rods, handbrake cable, front tyres (which need doing again) and rear wheel bearings. in 17 years of owning cars i have never had to replace so much in such a short space of time, now i don't know the history of the car, so it may have had some hammer. However whilst i enjoy the occasional blast, i am not overly harsh on the car. Am i being unlucky, or is this a side effect of owning a 172. TBH whilst i love the car, i really can't keep throwing money at it like this.
